Wak Hai Cheng Bio temple - a relic on the streets of Chinatown, Singapore

Posted 1 year ago by playfast in response to surya's question: Amid all the modern buildings I've seen in the Chinese area of Singapore are there any relics of the past? (give a different answer) .

I suppose Wak Hai Cheng Bio temple could be considered a relic since it has been built in 1826. It has anothe name too which means in English "Calm Sea temple". I don't know why's that... I didn't see anything but some plaster figures standing on the roof. The temple can be found on Phillip St.
