martinator's question:
In Singapore I've been to Chijmes and in the middle of the complex I saw a chapel. A church among bars and restaurants?... how come?(give a different answer) .
It seems that Singapore didn't allow religion to stop its development. When people thought restaurants, bars and shops would bring them more profit than a monastery of nuns they transformed the Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus into the actual complex. What you saw at the centre is just a memory from the past. Even so, it's good that wedding celebrations are held there.
