Singapore is known for its tough laws and for the police's very strict surveillance. Which can be really annoying sometimes(when you're probably just a bit more relaxed than usual and feel like singing in the street), but they also protect you from troubles. However, pickpockets exist here as anywhere else, more precisely in Chinatown and Little India, so keep an eye on your valuables while you are in these areas.
